About Ms. Katie Classroom Wish List About Ms. Nadine
I am happy to say that I have been a part of the Tiller family since 2004 as a teacher assistant and after school director. Tiller is a wonderful place to learn that embraces each child while guiding them into social and academic success. I feel lucky to be a part of this community. I am a student at ECU, working on my degree in elementary education. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, camping and going to the beach.

Welcome to our Second Grade classroom! My name is Nadine Schwartz and I have the pleasure of educating your child this year. This is my first year at Tiller. Over the past four years, I have been the special education lead teacher in an integrated preschool in East Hampton, NY and a Kindergarten teacher in New Bern, NC. In addition to my special education background, I have my Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). This allows me to deliver extensive knowledge of the English language to your child as they learn to speak, read, and write with more fluency and ease.
Throughout my teaching experience, the importance of parent/teacher communication has been unmistakable. This keeps us on the same page about any important information regarding your child’s performance and behaviors both at home and at school. This information is vital in the development and implementation of my lessons in order to best meet your child’s needs. Second Grade is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child. An exciting year of learning and exploring is ahead of us! Thank you for the privilege of educating your child. |
